“For Whom the Bell Tolls”
“For Whom the Bell Tolls” aims to connect the shared lineage of Tap Dance and Breaking. The work explores the experience of feeling deeply while appearing composed, and feeling alone even when surrounded by others. Through rhythm and movement, this piece becomes a space to release anger, shame and regret.
In 2026, this work was presented at Future Dance Festival (92NY), Ladies in the Shoe (92NY), Choreographers Carnival NYC (Le Poisson Rouge), Silo Dance Festival (14th St Y), and 3 Dollar Bill.
“For Whom the Bell Tolls” is a recipient of a Works & Process residency for the upcoming 2026-27 season. This work is currently being developed and has evolved from a 3-minute to a 10-minute piece. With this support, this concept will be able to be presented as a 30-minute set.
This work will be presented at Battery Dance Festival and The A.C.E. Awards this August. See below for more information.
